2) There will be an All Girls Division in 10U 12U, & 14U. However, we would need a minimum of 28 girls in each division to do this. If we are unsuccessful then all divisions will be Coed.
3) The 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U coed Age Groups will have 2 separate divisions - Competitive & Recreation
Recreation is for beginner and intermediate athletes. Recreation will follow the traditional combine & draft process. However, the number of players coaches may protect is no longer 5, it is now 1 player per coach. Teams may have a maximum of 3 coaches. Special exceptions may be made in situations where the protected players exceed the coaches because of the number of children who live in the same household.
Competitive is for advanced players. Coaches will also have the ability to build their entire team of 10 players without a draft process needed. Parents may still sign up your child for the competitive division without already being protected by a coach for a specific team. Your child will be placed on a competitive team with an open slot.
6U will only have 1 division. There will not be a Competitive and Recreation Division in 6U. 6U will still follow our traditional combine and draft guidelines where the max protection number of players by a coach pre-draft is still 5 players.
We firmly believe that by implementing the 2 separate divisions in each Age Group it will create a more competitive environment for the more and advanced players while giving the beginner and intermediate players an opportunity to get more playing time and develop into even better players.
Each division for each age group will have their own playoffs and championships while never playing one another during the regular season either. The Competitive Division will have 1 weekend of travel where we play in interleague play against the Spring Hill and Citrus County NFL Flag Leagues.
