At the end of each season Marion County NFL Flag will choose All Star teams to travel and compete at the highest level against other teams regionally located in the South. This would not include 6U, as it only includes 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U. As a qualified NFL Flag Organization, anyone who participates in our regular season would be eligible to join our All Star teams where your child would have the opportunity to compete in any tournament in the South Region or any "Super Regional" in the country. Each of the Regional Tournaments are represented by its respective NFL Team based on the location of the tournament. There are 22 Regional Tournaments held around the country, 5 of which are South Regional Tournaments and 4 are Super Regionals. Ultimately, we are eligible to play in 9 of the 22 Regional Tournaments.
By winning an NFL Flag Regional Tournament, it would then qualify your team to compete in the National Championships at the NFL Pro Bowl. At this event the games are livestreamed, some even televised on NFL Network. It is a special week for all participants involved as they are spoiled with great gifts from the NFL Team they are representing and get the opportunity to meet NFL Players in town for the Pro Bowl.
In addition to the NFL Flag Regional Tournaments, our All Star teams will also compete in Exhibition Tournaments hosted by organizations such as Elite Youth Tournaments and Flag Football Life (FFL), who also has their own National Championship every Martin Luther King Weekend.
There are 3 separate divisions for each coed group at the NFL Flag Regionals:
1) Coed - The Coed division is ultimately the Elite Division where these are for teams who are handpicked All Star Teams who trying to build the best team possible.
2) Recreation - This geared more towards team who may not be as Elite. The only teams who may qualify are those associated with a Club Association such Boys & Girls Club, Police Athletic Association, and YMCA. If you are not associated with a Club Association, then you must have been a team who played together during your leagues recreation regular season and not a handpicked All Star Team after the fact.
3) All Girls Divisions for 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U. There is only 1 division each Girls Age Group. There is no split of Coed Elite and Recreation.
